Brrrr get the wooly hats out guys. Summer is gone. HELLOOOO Autumn!
As a younger man I would overlook Autumn – never giving it the appreciation it deserves. But now days this season is my favourite. In fact Autumn and Winter are my favourite – maybe we can make a new season. “Autinter” how does that sound. I’ll send a tweet to the PM, she has nothing major on . . . minus dancing to ABBA. Wow did you see that. What is she doing! We used to be a great nation, now we are just shite dancers.
Anyway, to the post. The loveable Abbie from WhatAbbieSays has tagged me like a game on the playground and now it’s my turn. If you don’t know Abbie she is an absolute gem! Funny, Inspiring, Supportive and Hella Cute! *Snaps Fingers in a sassy way* If you do one good thing today I would say make sure it’s follow her.
Right enough of the flirting. Let’s do some questions!
What signifies the start of Autumn for you?
The change in colours on the trees, the chill in the air, the light drawing in earlier and the musky smell that fills the air.
What is your favourite Autumn scent?
I think it’s bonfires. Is that strange? That or that morning dew smell or calmness and peace. . . . think the fire one sounded better!
What is you favourite Autumn colour?
Anything along the spectrum of Yellow to Orange. From a Mustard, to a Tobacco, to a blood orange.
Are you a fan of a PSL (pumpkin spice latte) ?
I am not! I know this is blasphemy to the blogging world but I am not a coffee fan.
What is your favourite Autumn drink?
It’s going to be a Toffee or Caramel Hot Chocolate with cream.
What’s your favourite coffee shop and their drink of choice?
OH GOD! I should have planned ahead before announcing my dislike for coffee. I am easy for either. I am curious to try the Bonfire Spiced Hot Chocolate from Costa. I will report back.
Apple pie or Pumpkin pie?
Apple pie. Everyday! Warm, with cream.
What TV show, new or old are you looking forward to in the next few months?
I stand by the fact Christmas T.V. is not as good as it used to be. But I am excited for Daredevil Season 3 on Netflix. That is out in a few weeks.
What is your favorite Autumn fashion trend?
Hat and Scarf. Love my scarf (is there a picture below) I saw it this time last year in GAP. Missed my chance to buy it. Gutted! A nice soft red plaid scarf – like it was made from a lumberjack’s shirt. Only to find out on my birthday (19th December, don’t forget) my GF had bought me it.
What is your favourite comfort food to enjoy in the colder months?
This season brings real hearty warm meals. For me it’s Chilli on a Jacket Potato. But a close second is a Cottage Pie.
What is your favourite Autumn activity?
Same as Abbie – I am not sure what we have here that we can call an Autumn Activity. Does Remembrance Sunday count? Start of November. It’s on the cusp surely. That is something I have so much respect for.
Are you a fan of horror movies?
I do enjoy them but I struggle to find a REALLY good horror. The classics work but now days it’s just some over the top gorefest and that’s not me.
Do you ever do anything fun for Halloween?
Yes! Love it. I normally prepare several costumes. One low key easy one for work (this years is awesome) and then a big bad one for the annual Halloween Party. Me and a Friend usually throw a party. But this year we have both had to say we can’t due to life responsibilities. But another friend has taken the reins and is going to try to throw one.
What was your favourite part about Halloween as a child?
The as it is now, the dressing up. I love fancy dress – How much you ask. . . click here and find out?
Are you a bigger fan of Bonfire night or Halloween?
Both are high on my list. But I think Halloween pips it for first place. Bonfire night doesn’t have the cool creepy playlist of songs to jam to.
Where is your dream destination to visit in the Autumn?
I would love to do British Columbia or that area of America. It’s always looks stunning.
Do you always forget about the clocks going back?
No, I remember it happens. I just forget when sometimes. Never on the day, I am usually clued up by then.
When do you usually start preparing for Christmas?
Now for presents, I like to plan ahead and work round pay days. But the rest kicks off properly as of December 1st.
The only picture I could find of the scarf I mentioned above. I will post a better one when it’s time.
These are always a pleasure doing, I love them and now I want to see the follow people scrub out my answers and put their own in.
And they are:
