Man Vs Movies – Top Five Fantasy Films

Comments 7 Standard

fantasy.jpg

I’ve stumbled across a map, X marks the spot and the jewels are waiting, hidden in the vase in some dusty attic.

It’s Fantasy week!

I had a top five picked out but the more I thought about it the more I thought, Fantasy is a HUGE genre.

Indiana Jones Poster Last Crusade HD WallpapersIndiana Jones – The Last Crusade

I have always loved the Indiana Jones trilogy (we don’t talk about the Crystal Skull) and they were a big part of my growing up, at one point I wanted to become an archeologist just like our lovable rouge Indy.

But truth be told the real reason the Last Crusade wins is simply because of one charmingly dashing Scott – Sean Connery. Playing Indy’s father he brings a new level to Fords character as we watch the two play off each other in such a dynamic duo.

Following the hunt for the Holy Grail, this film ticks all Adventure Fantasy boxes in my head. Action, Humour, Good vs Evil and booby Traps.

There was also a family story, that the Tank Indy fights on near the end, was my dad’s uncle Ted’s tractor that the studio bought of him, stripped and repurposed into a tank. I never asked how much truth was in this – but the whole family were in on this. Hmmm.

Lord of the Rings – The Two Towers

Can’t have a genre like this without throwing something from Jackson’s catalogue of masterpiece Tolkien films. For me LOTR beat the Hobbit set (even though it’s slightly dated now days) and within those three – all are amazing in their own right but for me the second instalment wins and let’s be honest, that is because of the Battle of Helms Deep.

But also as story, I think the 2nd of a trilogy is very important. It’s got the biggest job of linking the two bookends, picking up from the first with such momentum that it can carry itself , while building the cliffhanger and suspense for the final piece.

Two Towers does that and so much more. Bringing key characters, plots and arcs into the Middle Earth world. With amazing action sequences, brilliant character chemistry and just opening up the vast fantasy world of Tolkien. This film and the whole franchise are a must.

Pirates of the Caribbean – Curse of the Black Pearl

Savvy pick hey! I really enjoy the Pirate films, Captain Jack Sparrow is such a fun character and Johnny Depp plays him so well.

Following the antics on the seven seas, this film introduces us to the world of pirates, ghosts, ships and swagger.  As the story focuses on cursed Aztec gold – which leaves a crew invincible but ghostly and stuck longing to be free. It has everything that you expect, swashbuckling fights, sun soaked locations, witty one liners and rum, lots and lots of rum.

Yes the franchise is still going and yes maybe they should have stopped a couple of films back, but regardless I love them all – they are just fun easy going films and without a doubt the first easily earn’t a space on this list.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Little fact for you, this is the first and only film I ever downloaded (in the naughty sense). Because I was so excited to watch this film, bringing awesome literacy character together in one stylish gothic noir style world what is not to love.

Following Allan Quatermain, The Invisible Man, Mina Harker, Tom Sawyer, Captain Nemo, Dorian Grey and Jekyll/Hyde as they team up to face a new world terrorist on the turn of the century. The Phantom who turns out to be James Moriarty the villainous arch-enemy of Sherlock Holmes.

The film itself got panned and in turn didn’t generate enough interest or money for a sequel but I none the less loved it, the casting, the sets, the way they bought these characters together was amazing. I guess it’s a guilty pleasure but one I highly recommend people see.

The Mummy (1999) PG-13 - "Death is only the beginning."The Mummy

Not the Tom Cruise surprise but the 1999 version with Brandon Fraser.

As a kid this was also one of those films that, if it was on – regardless of where it was in the film I could put it on and enjoy it. After a group of archaeologists accidentally wake a cursed priest mummy who is hell-bent on bringing his bride back to life to rule the world, our heroes have to set out across Egypt to find a way to stop him and bring peace back to the world.

If you like shotgunning the undead, over the top humour, cool dark arts and just some awesome fantasy fun. This is the one for you! Nothing too serious, just some easy-going fun.

Thank you for another spellbound, knife wielding fun old post. What do you think of my picks? Is there something that should be on the list? What is your list?

Don’t forget to like and share this post and also vote for the next genre.

Always a pleasure!

Man Vs Movies – Top Five Thrillers.

Comments 5 Standard

Thrillers

No one is safe, no one is trusted, nothing is what it seems.

This week its Thriller week! There isn’t a single MJ tribute act in sight. Just Me, You, Five Films and a feeling of confusion as you struggle to understand what is going on and your adrenaline begins pumping.

Shall we begin?

Image result for memento posterMemento

“Remember Sammy Jenkins”

This one seems to slip under people’s radar and I can’t for the life of me work out why. It’s an amazing film put together by Christopher (Dark Knight) Nolan and is backed up with the incredible talent of Guy (You know his face) Pearce.

The Narrative of the film plays in two lines, jumping back and forth from either timeline. Due to the nature of the film this style works ridiculously well.

It follows a man who can’t store short-term memories ever since the night he was attacked and his wife murdered. But determined to find the killer he sets out on the hunt, aided with notes, photos and tattoo’s – he is against all odds, not knowing what is truth or a lie and not being able to trust his own mind will he have closure.

It’s a superb, smart, gritty film that after one watch will have you hooked and ready for a second viewing.

Shutter Island PosterShutter Island

“You’re smarter than you look, Marshall. That’s probably not a good thing.”

Now I think a lot of people have mixed feelings on this film, with the own interpretation of the ending. Which can be said about all of these movies as thrillers and twists can be very subjective.

This film follows a US Marshal investigating a missing persons case on a remote secluded Island that is home to a Psychiatric Hospital. As they get to the island as storm sets in, leaving him and his partner stranded on the Island for a few days.

Paranoia sets in as the pair try to uncover the truth as to what happened to the missing woman, mixed with uncooperative staff members, crazy patiences and the elements beating them back. The case becomes harder and harder until the final act where the storm breaks and so does the case. What happened to the woman?

I think it’s a great rollercoaster and has some great twists, based on the German Existential Horror Movie – The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. The film oozes the same creepy noir style that will leave you a little scared and confused.

Related imagePrisoners

“Pray for the best, but prepare for the worst.”

Prisoners really hits home with some people because it plays on one of people’s biggest fears – something happening to their children. In this two young girls go missing after a joint family meal for Thanksgiving, it follows the Detective on the case and the four parents all dealing with it in different ways.

It’s highlights man’s nature to try to rationalise everything, while also showing the nature to do whatever it takes to protect family.

As the spiders web of twists and turns continues to get darker and deeper the family and Detective are put into the ring and have to overcome so much to get an answer. Resulting in the final answer, the ending result and the outcome.

With an amazing cast which I have to praise Jackman and Gyllenhaal for their performances. The film stands out and if you haven’t seen it you really should. I can’t rate it enough.

Image result for nocturnal animals movie posterNocturnal Animals

“When you love someone you have to be careful with it, you might never get it again.”

Looks like Mr Gyllenhaal is popping back up on the list – maybe he does too many Thrillers, or maybe I really rate him. The second I think.

This film I missed at the cinema and was really gutted I had, after watching it I was mesmerized by it. It’s a strangely beautiful film which in some respects blurs the lines between reality and fiction. Following an Art Gallery owner as she reads her Ex-Husbands Novel dedicated to her. The story starts to hit home as she started to notice similarities between the novel, the characters and their own broken relationship.

I can’t say much more as it get very complex and I worry spoiling something, but I will say stay focused, stay aware of everything, what is real and what is the novel. And also who is who.

It’s dark, it’s complex, its exiting, I love it. But good luck.

ALSO COMPLETELY FORGOT – I can’t praise this film without mentioning Michael Shannon. Such a talent, this film shows he’s abilities down to a T and you will not be disappointed.

Man Vs Movies – Top Five Inspirational and Motivational Films

Comments 16 Standard

inspiration

Well look where we are at – Episode Five! Who knew this series would even get here. It’s amazing and everyone has been so supportive along the way.

At the start of the series I asked for people’s input and ideas for categories and episode themes. This list is one of those suggestions.

Bexa over on HelloBexa wanted to see my Top Five Motivational, Inspirational list. Well the genre made it into the poll and after a second count it have won. So thank you and well done to Bexa. If you haven’t had a chance to get to know her, let me strongly suggest hitting that link and saying hello. She is such a great supportive girl, an inspirational blogger and all round amazing, friendly, fun person.

So let’s start this journey.

Image result for into the wild posterInto the Wild

“Happiness only real when shared!”

Following the true story of Chris McCandless as he literally sells up and just begins to travel across America and Alaska. Living life to its fullest and just experiencing the real natural world first hand, Chris meets hitchhikers, tourists and other amazing eye-opening people on his travels showing the true beauty of human nature as he longs to explore and be free.

The emotional side of the film creeps in with his family and parents dealing with his sudden disappearance, lessons he learns along the way and watching him fail certain vital tasks. Mixed in with an amazing soundtrack by the legendary Eddie Vedder, the film constantly spikes all emotions and hits every note perfectly. Leaving you inspired to travel, see the world and enjoy life to its fullest.

When watching remember it’s based on a true story, this makes the ending all the more harrowing and hurtful.

Image result for it's a wonderful life poster artIt’s a Wonderful Life

“Look, Daddy. Teacher says, every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.”

One of my favourite Christmas films sneaking into the inspirational mix too. If you haven’t seen this film I have to ask . . . why? What happened? It follows George (played by the charming golden era legend that is James Stewart. As he grows up in a little sleepy town. You know the ones where everyone knows everyone and its cute but nothing major going on. Dreaming of travelling and going to college, George finds himself constantly putting his life on hold to help other. His father’s business, his brother’s education and tour in the army. Every time he is set to venture into the big wide world the little town pulls him back.

He comes to terms with this reluctantly and settles down, has a family, grows the business and is general well-respected and loved by all. Until a twist of fate kicks in and it looks like George will be going to jail for fraud and starts to think everyone would be better off if he were dead as his life insurance plan would pay out.

In a fit of rage and depression one snowy evening he attempts to end it all, when he is saved by an old man named Clarence. He explains how he were never born and Clarence decided to make it so and show George a life if he were never born.

It ends with George realising he has worth and me with a choked up tear in my eye.

Every time, no matter how many times I watch it, I find myself a slight blubbering mess. Left with inspiration and the power of knowing, life is good – life is what we make it and everyone effects each other even if we don’t think it.

Image result for pay it forward art posterPay it forward

“What did you ever do to change the world?”

Pay it Forward I think is a really under appreciated film. Following a young boy who for a school project sets up a charitable movement called “Pay it Forward” where he does a favour for three people and in return asks these people to do a favour for another three people. Spiraling outwards and growing as more and more people become part of this movement.

It shows how the innocent of the young is pure and meaningful. With all the good intentions in the world to change it for the better.

The casting is superb as well. With Haley Joel (I See Dead People) Osment as the young school boy who starts the movement, Helen Hunt as his loving mother and Kevin (Don’t mention his name) Spacey as the influential teacher who sets the assignment for the class.

It’s such a good feel good film with such a good idea and heart at the centre of it. It makes you want to do good, to be the better person and to help humanity. Just a heads up now, the ending is totes emosh. You’ve been warned.

Image result for wild quirky poster cheryl strayedWild

“My life, like all lives, mysterious, irrevocable, sacred, so very close, so very present, so very belonging to me.”

Another true story based on a woman’s journey of self discovery while dealing with grief as she travels the Pacific Crest Trail through America.

It’s rammed full of inspiration and motivation and if it doesn’t want you to go and get lost in the world then I don’t know what will.

Much like “Into the Wild” it’s a breathtaking visual masterpiece using the location as its own character. With some scenes that are a bit uneasy to watch the over message of the film is beautiful and I can’t recommend it enough.

Image result for wonder film posterWonder

“You can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.”

Wonder is a loving tale about a boy – Auggie, who has mandibulofacial dysostosis a rare facial deformity. Spending a lot of his childhood being home schooled. His parents decide its time to go to school with other children to help his social skills. Starting the fifth grade, Auggie is like any other 10-year-old – minus his appearance. He likes movies, games and having fun. But instantly he is outcast by his peers due to his looks.

The movie tackles the hardships of being different, the dark side of childhood and how cruel children who don’t understand can be. While also showing the loving side of family and making the best of a bad situation. It drills right down into the human soul, hitting you in the feels and dragging a smile of reassurance back out as it does so. It’s a sweet film that inspires the positive side of human nature, highlighting how dark it can be but showing that once out of the dark the light always shines through.

Accompanied by an outstanding cast – Jacob Tremblay as Auggie is yet again amazing! Owen Wilson stepping out of his pure comical roles to slide into something more serious, but still bringing a light-hearted touch as the father trying to deal. And Julia Roberts playing the mother. I don’t really need to plug her, it took my years to realise but she is amazing in anything isn’t she.

Prepare yourself for a little choked up teary version of yourself to appear and just enjoy the film. Feel motivated when you come out and do good.

Honestly if these don’t inspire you to travel, do good or make amends then I am not sure what will. They are all beautiful pieces of work which inspire, amaze, make me cry and make me smile. Let me know what inspires and motivates you, what gives you that can do attitude and what brings a tear to your eye.

Also let me know if you have seen any of these and if so what you think to them, if not, go watch them and then let me know.

Peace.

Fear and Loathing inside Johnny Depps Mansion.

Comments 6 Standard

After spending an hour reading the Rolling Stones latest piece on Johnny Depp, his side of recent events and a bombshell shock of financial debt I’ve been left feeling compelled to write this post about him. The article can be found HERE.

JD trio.jpg

Firstly I want to start by saying. I’ve always regarded Depp as one of my favourite actors in Hollywood. His acting talent is diverse and outstanding with a huge range of films and accolades under his belt. From social outcast Edward Scissorhands to Drug Dealer George Jung and then over to rum swigging loveable rouge Jack Sparrow . . . sorry. Captain Jack Sparrow. He is diverse and phenomenal in my eyes.

Just take a moment to remember the amazing things he has done for people; Paying for Hunter S Thompsons funeral which included a huge celebration and the cherry on the top of funding the construction of a giant towering canon for his ashes to be fired into the atmosphere. Taking care of Penelope Cruz while she was pregnant on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean and also famously visiting many children’s hospitals and cancer wards dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow to help lift their spirits and just give something back, these are just some of the things he has done for people with no gain of his own.

Hunter-S.-Thompson-John-Cusack-and-Johnny-Depp-riding-in-a-car-with-a-blow-up-doll.jpg

Even as a person, yes we are all aware of his 90s binges and partying. Thinking of that famous image of JD, John Cusack and Hunter S Thompson in a convertible with a blow up doll. He lived the rock n roll lifestyle but was still in my eyes a gent about it.

In recent years he has been dragged through the mud a bit with the breakdown and divorce with Heard and now with his financial status coming to light. The poor guy just needs a moment to collect all his thoughts and work out what is going on and how to get it all in order.

I do worry this post is already shaping up to be a bit biased in his favour. Which I will try to reel it back in.

This article repeatedly quotes Depp talking about what he considers the truth and how he is an honest guy just wanting his side to be heard. Which in any argument or story is fair to say, there are two sides to every story and without hearing an account from JD how are we to ever know what honestly happened – Not that I am suggesting his side is the truth, but adding two sides helps see the bigger picture. The article goes on to explain and talk about his looming lawsuit battle with his previous management company and how they have supposedly dwindled him out of money, applying for loans and giving money to certain people without his knowledge. One big one being his sister. They would bring him piles of papers to sign, usually for multiple documents but only present the final page so he could never know what was being signed for – which yes can be argued he should have never signed anything if he didn’t know what is was about. But then at the same time in his life, he was battling some dark moments of life. His family turning on him, his once abusive and strict mother dying and then as mentioned earlier, the stuff with Heard (who has been charged with Domestic Abuse in her past, which I just think is only fair to mention). He also talks about how people in the company tried to get him to sell his Villa, the family home his children Jack and Lily Rose grew up in. To cover loses and to recoup debts which are reportedly in the area of $650 Million. – Wow!

Image result for johnny depp cute

So with all this going on, he took to recreational drugs and alcohol to help mask and clear the pain. Which then suggests if he was in a state of constant inebriation his inner circle should not be taking advantage of that, this surely hits along the same lines as the #METOO campaign. Taking advantage of someone and using their power and status to try to cover things up. It’s wrong. Depp is a victim. It is also clear from the article that he is dealing with a form of Mental Illness, be it depression or anxiety. Which now adds another layer to the plot – because he is a White Male Actor, it’s as if he couldn’t possibly have a mental health problem.

Reading about the amounts of money in talks and dispute is shocking and gives me chill and starts the nerves sweats. Sitting here in a £2 Primark T-Shirt eating batch bowl of pesto pasta and reading about an unaccounted for million dollar loans. I wouldn’t know what to do, it’s uncomfortable to comprehend. I would be in as much of a mental mess as he has clearly seen to have been in of late.

Related image

The article still portrays the rock star image that Depp is known for but also shows and backs up my thoughts of how humble and kind he is. Being graceful and accommodating to the interviewer the whole time even as he tries to paint JD in a negative way with his style of writing, but this isn’t successful as JD just comes across as a troubled guy who has been betrayed and is just looking for a way to fix something that has been broken for some time without his knowledge of being so. Going on to explain how the people he kept close to him and trusted have all taken advantage, turned on or betrayed him, from family to employees to friends.

In the Twittersphere of late he has been slagged off and recently compared to a sewer rat which sadly is the way social media works now days, a band waggon is built and everyone wants a seat for the ride. Which I guess is homage to Hunter S Thompson as they take his quote “Buy the ticket, take the ride”, but sadly in this case the ticket is for Depp’s public hanging.

I don’t intend to even try to change anyone’s mind about this – because let’s be honest people are the worst and once they get stuck in their mindsets it’s hard to change them.

But I just want to try to bring an open perspective to people, to have them except that he is still a human being. A potential victim in the big spiderweb of hollywood. I know people will comment and probably generate some very strong opinions about this post. But I would like us all to bear in mind that as things currently stand he is innocent, he has not been charged or prosecuted for any wrong doings, which the internet will try to tell you otherwise. Innocent until proven guilty. Remember that.

Image result for johnny depp smart

He is just a man hurting from several hiccups in life, but he is trying to make amends. Seeking out this interview and wanting to share his side of the story. He is still working, acting and recently he has been touring with his band Hollywood Vampires. In my eyes he is trying to put all of the past few years behind him and focus on his art.

You have to praise a mans dedication and drive right.

Man Vs Movies – Top Five Sci-Fi Films

Comments 4 Standard

Scifi

Greeting Bloglings – I am Ssor from the planet ManVsAdulthood.

I am here to observes and learn from your ways. Hey wanna see my spaceship?

So today’s post is about the genre of Science Fiction. Which is one of those genres what I think could go one of two ways. Also when you sit down and truly think about what is in the genre the list becomes longer and longer with every second. So I have tried my hardest to narrow it down to five.

Back to the Future. Image result for back to the future poster

The staple of any Sci-Fi list, a time travel movie that has made the ranks of the “Classic” category time and time and time and time again – wait how many times, it’s all over the place.

The film showcased the adventures of a teen thrown back in time and struggling to find a way back. There is Rock n Roll, Skateboards, Groovy Dance Moves and a tonne of Manure. This film is such a simple feel good movie, as much as they cover the ability to time travel and the effects of changing things in the pass they don’t dwell on the side effects faced by someone traveling through time and space (if there is any) – the franchise spans a trilogy and in my eyes they were all amazing!

If you are in the mood for an easy-going Sunday afternoon with a Sci-Fi twist. This is the one for you.

The Thing. Image result for the thing poster

Open to debate as to which Genre it falls into – Sci-Fi or Horror. I would say both but predominantly Sci-Fi due to the nature of the threat . . . or The Thing.

Following a group of researchers in Antarctica who discover a Norwegian research base that is abandoned, filled with dead bodies and a looming fear of in the middle of nowhere something is after them. The tension, story and acting is all superb. What clearly started as a simple little film instantly becomes a hit. Even the ending leave you thinking – what’s next.

Side note – the made a prequel in 2011 that followed the Norwegians and built up to this film. Which I felt held up and worked so well as a taster for this movie.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Image result for terminator 2 poster

If the conversation crops up of “Sequels are never as good as the original” – I go straight to this piece. T2 is in my opinion hands down the best Terminator movie out there.

It has Arnie carrying a minigun, a bad guy made of liquid metal and Linda Hamilton all ripped and badass totting a shotgun. It opens the Skynet world up a bit more, giving dimension and depth to certain aspects. Yes it goes without saying there are cheesy bits in it still (Thumbs Up) but those moments aside it’s a brilliant telling of a time traveling robot and his mission.

As far as Sci-Fi goes, the time travel local is incredibly flawed and the plot holes are wide enough to fall into, but that doesn’t take anything away from the film itself.

Looper. Image result for looper poster

You might see a trend going on here. I do love a good Time Travel film and Looper ticks that box with a massive TICK. Set in a future where the world has gone a bit to pot, but importantly even in this world time travel has yet to be invented. But some 30 years from that point it has. So in the future mobs dispose of bodies by sending them back to the now. Where agents called “Loopers” kill them and effectively erase the person from the future.

This is all well and good until Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) goes off to work only to find out the person sent back for him to kill is an older version of himself played by my man (Bruce Willis).

They tackle time travel really well and there is even a scene where an old version of another looper is being hunted and scars start to appear on him as the mob start attacking his younger self. Very clever stuff. The film as a whole as an original feel to it but also highlights some very key life points and lessons and human nature.

Inception. Image result for inception poster

The final entry for the Sci-Fi list is Inception. A tale of dreams within dreams within more dreams. The concept is stunningly simple and the layers of the film add up for an entertaining watch. The film follows Cobb and his team as they are blackmailed by a businessman into Incepting a rival business tycoon.

Incepting or the process of Inception is to put someone to sleep, enter their dreams and subconscious in order to plant an idea or extract information. But as the job goes on they reveal it won’t be as easy as they first thought.

Filled with spectacular scenes, visual effects and tense action sequences this film throws you about and leaves you with a slight dazed confusion as you wake up and end up back in the real world.

All in my eyes are great watches, if you haven’t seen them go check them out. If you have seen them what do you think?

Don’t forgot to check out my poll linked to this posts twitter on my ol’ twitter page.

How are these holding up, I know we are only on week two but what do you guys think? Any suggestions to change or do anything differently?

Much love!

Gift Guide to Fathers Day.

Leave a comment Standard

With Fathers day less than two weeks away I know there are some people out there that need to get their bums in gear and sort out a gift to celebrate daddy.

So here I am, your saviour, your guide!

Obviously the best gift you can get Papa is your presence, seeing him, giving him a moment of your time for the afternoon. We are all busy people in this day and age and so I am sure he would appreciate a couple of hours, just to catch up and be together.

But if we are going materialistic, because let’s be honest who doesn’t like getting gifts, I have put together a little list to try to help you out. So are you ready? Are you steady? Let’s go Shooopppiiing!

The  Amazon Echo

Look at this little cutie, I am a big fan of all this new Smart House Technology and Assistant Devices that are on the market. When we move into the “Family” home I am going to kit it out with all these gadgets. And that is the point, Men love gadgets – tinkering around with a new toy. Papa Bear would love one of these right.

Playstation VR Headset

Another cool gadget gift would have to be the VR headset. There are other brands and versions available but I have pick PlayStation’s as I have a PS4 myself. Not that Pop’s would want an excuse to leave you for a virtual world but let’s be honest again it’s boys and their toys. What is not to love. Plus I am sure you could have a go too.

Debossed notebook (A6)

A smart notebook or stationary is always a great shout for a Father’s Day gift. And what’s not to love with these Debossed Notebook’s from Jeya Narrative, with a range of amazing capital city design front’s you could be giving papa a sleek Manhattan notebook, a classic London design or one with a trendy hip Amsterdam front.

Different notebooks collect different stories. City notebooks are all the more special as they transport us to a memorable place and time, to relive those moments once again. – Jeya Narrative.

The Millennium Series: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

A good book is always a winner and in light of the new movie coming out I felt it only best to suggest The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. If the old man like a good Nordic Noir like Wallander or Jo Nesbo then these are for him.

Following a computer hacker and a journalist as they are asked to help solve a case that is decades old they end up unearthing many twists and horrors that were thought to be left hidden. I couldn’t put them down and remember watching the Swedish Originals with my dad and I even took him to the cinema when the America Remake came out. Great story, read and idea. A must.

All else fails why not hit up the generic, bottle of Whiskey, Screwfix Voucher and Chocolate.

I hope this is helped drum up some ideas for the old boy. I am sure whatever you decide will be greatly accepted and enjoyed. Have a great day and spoil him rotten.

Peace!

Side note, the Amazon links are affiliated links so I would make a penny or two from you buying from that, but the Jeya Narrative stuff I am not being paid in any form for, I am just a friendly blogger promoting a friendly company. Just so you know.

Insert Catchy Film Series Title

Today’s topic or setup is film related.

Now as you might (should) know. I am a BIG film buff. Love them. Can’t get enough.

Recently off the back of my review post for Molly’s Game (Which can be found HERE) I mentioned to Matt (Who can be found HERE) that once my friend and I sat down and made a huge list of Top Five Genres. But this list grew. I’m talking lists, columns and piles of names, papers and decisions. It was tough going. To which Matt – who might I add is such a sound supportive guy. Go follow him if you don’t already and see what he has to say. Matt said that the lists were a brilliant idea for a blog series. Wow. He is right. So this is where we are at.

I know my last series about Gadgets didn’t or should I say hasn’t taken off yet. But money is tight and buying a new gadget to review each month will cause stern and slightly judgement words from the GF. So that is on hold for the moment.

But what do we think? Could Top Five Genre films be am interesting subject? Maybe challenge me and throw some suggests of what you want to see in for yourself.

I also need to name this Series – but I am not sure what to call it. Shout out to the winning name or best suggestion.

This could be fun. Lets do this.
