So the new year hit, the month has flown by – not sure if it is because I am getting old or what but time just moves so much quicker now days. I just need an extra ten minutes to catch up on some sleep.
Just before New Year I saw the following photo challenge by CardiganJezebel (the post is HERE), so like a trooper I took on the challenge and decided to publish a snap a day.
As a rule I love the idea of these challenges, but my biggest worry and downfall is maintaining the day by day posting. I did slip on Day 14 and posted it the morning of the 15th but shhh! And then again around the final weekend 27th / 28th – once you miss a day it throws the whole thing out of whack.
The reason I like these kind of things is because of the variety of topics I have a chance to photography, sometimes it’s something I will take a snap of every day and sometimes it’s something I have never dreamt about photographing and that is what I enjoy – having the option and idea to do something different.
With each post I have tried to add a little blurb or piece of text to accompany the photo . . . . maybe I could publish these in a book like Brooklyn Beckham did with his photography. Or maybe we could put a Collab Blogger Book together where we submit X amount of pictures each and try to get it published in a real book. (Let’s look into this).
Anyway I have had fun doing this and in case you missed any of the glamorous, stunningly sexy shots here they are again.
I’d love to know if you did anything like this and if you had a montage I could look at.
Peace and Love.
I have been thinking about this for some time, the next step in my blogging journey.
Becoming self hosted, taking the leap and giving over my bank deets to have my own domain name and complete control of my page. After watching my “Brand” grow through interaction and followers and after receiving some great feedback about my page I have decided it is time.
So come February this wholesome little page of ramblings will be officially mine – I can’t wait.
I feel like I am getting to a stage where the next step is needed. Having spoken to several influential bloggers and new friends that I have made I have been able to put “Going Self Hosted” into perspective – taking on all of the valuable advice they have offered.
This step will also give me a valuable opportunity to redesign my page and give it a newer fresher look that is more interactive and a true representation of me – the baffled young adult who isn’t ready for adulthood.
Continued goals would be: Boosting my congregation and followers list. Twitter followers is constantly growing and when I am on the final stretch for 1000 followers I will do a giveaway competition which should be fun. Whilst building that following I will be looking into setting up a mailing list that will drop weekly updates and new posts to followers and finally I will look into working on my DA and relationships with clients and other brands.
So if you like what you see and fancy a piece of this apple pie, come on over ask for a spoon and lets work together. Or just continue enjoying my ramblings from where you are. As always let me thank you all for the support and feedback I have received and please consider me for any future projects or collabs you might have in mind..
Also leave comments about the new logo I am trailing – it snuck its way in up top there 😉
